Hades needs to hire an assistant halfway through the story, due to an increased workload from the Trojan War. The result is Thanatos...god of death. He enjoys his job. And writes poetry. He makes Hermes look positively macho by comparison, doesn't he? Death is a dandy. With butterfly wings.
