Aphrodite, Venus to the Romans. Goddess of beauty, desire, and love (in the physical sense.) She doesn't really have parents...she came about from a spontaneous chemical reaction of the severed genitals of Ouranos falling into the ocean. (Kronos is a freak, by the way.) Anyway, she sprang forth, all foamy, riding on a seashell, and came ashore. Married Hephaestos for the jewelry, but fools around with every Tom, Dick, and Ankhises except him. (Poor schmuck.)
...Skank.
Anyway! As y'all know, she turns out to be an important player in the second chapter of Dis! Tra-la!
